About the Role
The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will join Zipline’s Data Platform team and work on internal tools and infrastructure that support autonomy development.
The role involves developing applications used by annotation teams, creating data pipelines and models, improving automation, maintaining data quality, and integrating internal systems. The engineer will also work directly with Machine Learning and Autonomy teams to ensure that software tools meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
The successful candidate will:
- Design, develop, and maintain internal tools.
- Build applications supporting annotation teams.
- Help teams produce high-quality machine-learning datasets.
- Maintain and improve software used by internal users and contractors.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
The engineer will:
- Work with Machine Learning teams.
- Collaborate with Autonomy teams.
- Understand internal users’ requirements.
- Optimize annotation tools for engineering workflows.
- Support high-quality and accurate data production.
Data Engineering
Responsibilities include:
- Developing data pipelines.
- Developing data models.
- Integrating labeled machine-learning data.
- Supporting data flow between the Data Platform and Autonomy engineering teams.
Automation and Efficiency
The position will involve:
- Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes.
- Improving annotation workflows.

Data Integrity and Quality Control
The engineer will:

- Familiarity with software development practices.
