English is one of the essential subjects in the Technical Secondary Schools (TSS) National Examination Level 5. It assesses students’ ability to communicate effectively in English, which is the language of instruction in many technical and professional environments. Strong English language skills enable learners to understand technical documents, prepare reports, communicate in the workplace, and pursue higher education.
The English TSS National Examination L5 (2025–2026) evaluates the four key language skills: reading, writing, listening (where applicable), and grammar with vocabulary usage. Students are expected to demonstrate their ability to read and interpret texts, write coherent essays and formal documents, apply correct grammar, and use appropriate vocabulary in different contexts. English is scheduled as one of the written subjects in the official TSS National Examination timetable for the 2025–2026 school year
