HEC OPPORTUNITIES
2026 Edition of the Mauritius–Africa Scholarship Scheme
The Higher Education Council (HEC) informs the general public that the Republic of Mauritius, through its bilateral cooperation with the Government of Rwanda, is offering fully funded Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD scholarships for the 2026 academic intake under the Mauritius–Africa Scholarship Scheme.
Required Application Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Application letter addressed to the Director General of HEC
- National ID or valid passport
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Completed application form
- Certified copy of birth certificate
- Certified copy of the passport biodata page
- Certified copies of educational certificates and transcripts
- Letter of conditional offer from a public Higher Learning Institution (HEI) in Mauritius or acknowledgement of application plus proof of application fee payment
- Medical certificate signed and stamped by a registered medical practitioner (Section 6 of the application form)
- Study or research plan (for Master’s and PhD applicants)
- Supporting statement from a supervisor in Mauritius (for PhD applicants)
