Overview
Save the Children, a prominent child rights organization with operations in Rwanda since 1994, is seeking a Temporary Driver to support its operations. This role involves ensuring effective management of the organization’s vehicles to meet program transportation needs. Save the Children’s work in Rwanda focuses on child protection, health, education, and child rights governance, with the mission to inspire breakthroughs for children’s immediate and long-term well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reliable transport for staff to field sites.
- Ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and adherence to driving standards.
- Maintain a vehicle logbook and report vehicle usage monthly.
- Manage routine vehicle checks and assist with maintenance and repairs.
- Transport referrals and couriers as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Rwandan national with a valid driving license (B, D categories).
- Physically fit and able to work long hours.
- Secondary education level and minimum of 5 years driving experience.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Commitment to child safeguarding and anti-harassment policies.
