Key Responsibilities

The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for:

1. Conducting market research and mapping to identify key market segments and business opportunities in Rwanda.
2. Identifying potential customers and developing a pipeline of prospective clients.
3. Generating business leads through networking, market research, and direct engagement with potential customers.
4. Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and key industry stakeholders.
5. Assessing customer needs, market demand, and competitor activities.
6. Providing regular market intelligence on business potential, opportunities, and challenges.
7. Supporting the development of the company’s market-entry and growth strategy for Rwanda.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma (HD) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Process Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of direct experience in technical sales or field service engineering within the water and wastewater treatment industry.
• Proven experience selling water and wastewater treatment products, chemicals, equipment, or related technical solutions.
• A strong understanding of Rwanda’s water, wastewater, and industrial markets.
• An established professional network is preferred, particularly among decision-makers in the Rwanda Water Board, beverage and dairy producers, manufacturing industries, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and water treatment companies.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess potential customers, competitors, and market opportunities.
