Overview
Play International is recruiting a Pedagogical Assistant for its Rwanda mission based in Kigali (Gasabo). This is a 12-month local contract offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to education, social inclusion, and youth development through sport-based programs.
The selected candidate will support the implementation of pedagogical activities under the “Toutes En Sport” program, focusing on gender equality, child protection, and community engagement.

Job Details
Position: Pedagogical Assistant
Location: Kigali (Gasabo), Rwanda
Contract Type: 12-month local contract
Start Date: Mid-June 2026
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: RWF 1,300,000 gross per month
Benefits: Health insurance
Key Responsibilities
1. Pedagogical Content Development
- Support the creation and adaptation of educational materials
- Contribute to training tools and modules
2. Training and Capacity Building
- Deliver training sessions for coaches, teachers, and educators
- Monitor and support trained facilitators through field visits
- Disseminate pedagogical tools and materials
3. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Manage reporting schedules
- Support data collection and analysis
- Contribute to storytelling and communication activities
4. Sports and Civic Activities
- Facilitate sport-based educational sessions
- Support organization of community events and advocacy initiatives
5. Participant Follow-Up
- Monitor and evaluate trained participants
- Support overall project implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Physical Education, Sports Management, or Social Sciences
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, pedagogy, or community engagement (mandatory)
- Experience working with children and youth programs
- Background in sports for development is an added advantage
Required Skills
- Strong facilitation and training skills
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools (Google Workspace, Canva, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills in Kinyarwanda and English (French is an advantage)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to travel frequently for field activities
