Job Purpose
The Assistant Claims Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of medical insurance claims while maintaining high standards of data integrity, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and verify medical invoices for accuracy in the E-Oxygen system
- Barcode and scan medical claims documents
- Capture and process invoices, including rejection of non-payable claims
- Return non-payable invoices to providers or members
- Maintain a database of rejected invoices for reference
- Process reimbursement claims and support cheque dispatch
- Prepare medical claims schedules for other subsidiaries
- Assist in preparing membership utilization reports
- Maintain records of reimbursement claims
- Support preparation and management of claims files
- Ensure compliance with SMART systems and procedures
- Support AML, KYC, and compliance requirements including monitoring and reporting suspicious activities
- Perform any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
- Basic insurance qualification
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in claims or insurance processing
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding of insurance policy covers
- Strong integrity and ethical conduct
- Ability to work with structured systems and processes
- Analytical and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must possess or be applying for a Police Clearance Certificate at the time of application
