EACC Scholarships 2026: Nursing and Midwifery Undergraduate Programmes
East African Christian College (EACC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH), has announced funded scholarship opportunities for eligible students wishing to pursue undergraduate programmes in Nursing and Midwifery. The scholarships are offered under the framework of the 4×4 Strategy.
Available Scholarship Programmes
Eligible applicants can apply for the following four-year undergraduate programmes:
- Bachelor of Science in General Nursing with Honours
- Bachelor of Science in Midwifery with Honours
Application Deadline
Application period: Thursday, 27 August 2026 to Friday, 11 September 2026 at 5:00 PM.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for an admission test, with the date to be communicated later.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements for the programmes. The announcement specifies the following categories:
A-Level Graduates
Applicants should have:
- Two principal passes with at least Grade C in Biology and Chemistry for candidates who completed secondary school A-Level before 2024.
- For candidates who completed A-Level from 2024 onwards, two principal passes with at least Grade E in Biology and Chemistry.
- Candidates who completed secondary school before 2024 should not have failed (F) in Mathematics, Physics or Geography.
Applicants should also have completed general secondary education (A-Level) with one of the following subject combinations:
- Physics – Chemistry – Biology
- Mathematics – Chemistry – Biology
- Biology – Chemistry – Geography
A2 Nurses
A2 Nurses may also apply if they have:
- A minimum of 70%
- At least two years of work experience
Admission Test and Selection
The selection process will involve:
- Candidates meeting the minimum admission requirements will sit for an admission test.
- Final scholarship selection will be based on the admission test score and the number of available scholarship places.
- Successful scholarship beneficiaries will sign a contract with the Ministry of Health (MoH). The contract is intended to facilitate their absorption into the health workforce after graduation, after which beneficiaries will be required to serve for a specified minimum period.
