Job Purpose
The Information Technology (IT) & Digital Transformation Risk Manager will support the Bank’s Risk Management function by providing independent oversight, challenge, and advisory services on ICT risks, digital transformation initiatives, and organizational change activities.
The role ensures that risks associated with technology, innovation, new products, and change programs are appropriately identified, assessed, monitored, and reported in line with the Bank’s risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and international best practices while supporting safe and sustainable innovation.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Risk Management
- Review and assess ICT risk exposures related to infrastructure, applications, networks, system availability, data security, and integrations
- Evaluate the effectiveness of technology controls implemented by first-line teams
- Monitor cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, incidents, and remediation activities
- Review ICT resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity arrangements
- Track and report ICT risk issues, control weaknesses, and remediation plans
Digital Transformation Risk Oversight
- Provide risk oversight for digital transformation initiatives including mobile banking, internet banking, digital lending, cloud platforms, APIs, automation, data analytics, and fintech integrations
- Review and challenge risk assessments for new products and services before launch
- Assess risks associated with emerging technologies such as cloud computing, open banking solutions, automation tools, and digital platforms
- Advise management on risk implications of digital strategies and technology roadmaps
Change Risk Management
- Provide oversight of technology and operational change management processes
- Review risk assessments for system upgrades, migrations, process re-engineering, and organizational transformation initiatives
- Assess controls governing change planning, testing, approvals, implementation, and post-implementation reviews
- Monitor risks associated with large-scale transformation programs and escalate significant issues through governance structures
Third-Party & Outsourcing Risk Management
- Review ICT-related third-party and outsourcing risk assessments
- Monitor risks associated with fintech partners, technology vendors, and service providers
- Assess vendor dependency, service resilience, data security, and concentration risks
- Review control assurance reports and risk mitigation measures for critical suppliers
- Escalate material third-party risks through appropriate governance forums
Risk Governance & Reporting
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of ICT, digital transformation, and change risk management frameworks, policies, and standards
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks
- Prepare independent risk reports, dashboards, and key risk indicators for management and governance committees
- Support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and risk reviews relating to ICT and digital transformation risks
Risk Advisory & Awareness
- Act as a trusted risk advisor to technology, digital, product, and transformation teams
- Provide guidance on risk management requirements for new technologies and products
- Promote awareness of ICT, cybersecurity, and digital transformation risks across the Bank
- Support continuous improvement through lessons learned from incidents, audits, and control reviews
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent are required
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ICT risk management, technology risk, information security, IT audit, operational risk, or change risk within a financial services environment
- Experience supporting digital banking platforms, fintech partnerships, technology-enabled transformation projects, or new product approvals
- Strong understanding of ICT, digital, and change risk regulatory requirements within the banking sector
- Knowledge of ICT governance and security frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, and ITIL
