Rwanda Ultimate Golf Course is a private company established to position Rwanda as one of the leading golfing destinations in Africa and globally.
Its first major project is the Kigali Golf Resort & Villas, which includes a golf course designed by the world-famous Gary Player, a five-star clubhouse, health club, tennis and squash courts, swimming pool, and several food and beverage outlets.
About the F&B Cashier Position
The F&B Cashier will handle payment transactions across the Food & Beverage outlets of Rwanda Ultimate Golf Course Ltd, including restaurants, bars, lounges, and poolside outlets.
The position requires someone who is accurate, trustworthy, customer-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
The F&B Cashier will be responsible for:
- Processing guest bills accurately according to company policies and service standards.
- Operating the MICROS POS system to post and settle guest checks.
- Handling cash, credit cards, debit cards, membership accounts, and other approved payment methods.
- Verifying guest bills before settlement, including prices, taxes, and discounts.
- Issuing receipts and obtaining required signatures.
- Opening and closing cashier shifts in the MICROS POS system.
- Maintaining the correct cashier float and ensuring transactions balance at the end of each shift.
- Preparing cash summaries, deposit slips, and daily cashier reports.
- Reporting discrepancies or irregularities immediately to the F&B Supervisor or F&B Manager.
- Safely keeping cash, vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Ensuring transactions are entered into the system in real time and under the correct outlet category.
- Recording complimentary, voided, and discounted items with appropriate authorization.
- Maintaining organized cashier reports, shift summaries, and signed guest checks.
- Supporting the F&B Office with daily revenue reports.
- Coordinating with the Finance Department during audits.
- Providing courteous and efficient service to guests.
- Responding professionally to billing questions and resolving payment-related issues.
- Working closely with service staff and outlet managers to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Following financial, accounting, and cash-control procedures.
- Maintaining confidentiality of financial and guest information.
- Supporting daily cash drops and audits.
- Assisting with training new cashiers or service staff when required.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- A1 Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- A Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience as a cashier in a 4- or 5-star hotel, resort, or luxury restaurant.
- Experience using MICROS POS or a similar point-of-sale system.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and cash-handling procedures.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
