Job Responsibilities
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct regular monitoring of the Institute’s electrical installations.
- Repair electrical breakdowns.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems.
- Replace light bulbs and electrical sockets.
- Clean and repair circuit breaker panels.
- Check and support maintenance of the generator.
- Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment and spare parts to be procured.
- Maintain water heater installation systems.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance of electrical channels within Institute buildings.
- Participate in supervising complex electrical installation projects carried out by external contractors.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards during maintenance activities.
- Advise management on maintenance requirements.
- Advise management on replacement of aging electrical infrastructure and devices.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
