About KARISIMBI SACCO NYABIHU
KARISIMBI SACCO NYABIHU is a District Savings and Credit Cooperative (D-SACCO) established following the consolidation of 12 Umurenge Savings and Credit Cooperatives (U-SACCOs) operating within Nyabihu District. The SACCO operates under the supervision of the National Bank of Rwanda (NBR) and MINECOFIN.
KARISIMBI SACCO NYABIHU is seeking qualified, competent, committed, proactive and self-motivated individuals to fill 5 Teller positions at its Head Office and branch level.
Job Purpose
The Teller will be responsible for providing cash and account-related services to SACCO members and customers, processing transactions accurately, maintaining proper records and ensuring the security and control of funds.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision and guidance of the Branch Operations Officer, the Teller will:
- Conduct cash-related services, including customer and member withdrawals and deposits.
- Initiate transfers from customer and member accounts, including interbranch transfers.
- Perform cheque-related services, including cheque crediting.
- Process approved loan disbursements.
- Perform coinage changes and foreign exchange services where applicable.
- Support the opening, filling, balancing and closing of the till.
- Carry out cross-selling of SACCO products and services.
- Welcome and assist members requiring deposit and withdrawal services.
- Receive and pay customers and members the approved amounts.
- Safeguard and properly manage the assigned till and store.
- Correctly complete members’ booklets.
- Participate in the daily closing of SACCO operations, particularly the control and reconciliation of funds.
- Submit all documents supporting daily transactions and operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of SACCO and customer information.
- Properly take care of equipment assigned for work.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- At least Secondary Education (A2) in a related field.
- Basic IT literacy, including knowledge of Core Banking Software (CBS) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage financial transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Good mathematical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Customer satisfaction-oriented attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle cash responsibly.
