Job Purpose
The Cook will be responsible for preparing safe, nutritious, and balanced meals for students and staff while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
🍽 Food Preparation & Service
- Prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks)
- Ensure meals meet children’s nutritional needs
- Serve meals on time and in correct portions
- Handle special dietary requirements
Kitchen Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at all times
- Ensure proper food storage and handling
- Follow national food safety regulations
Inventory Management
- Monitor food supplies and stock levels
- Reduce food wastage
- Assist in receiving and storing ingredients
Teamwork
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and school team
- Support catering during school events
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in institutional cooking (school/hospital preferred)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to cook in large quantities
- Strong organization and time management skills
