Job Overview
The Rwanda branch of Mighty Engineering is inviting applications from qualified engineers to join its growing solar engineering team.
This is a unique opportunity for Rwandan graduates to gain international-standard skills and work with American companies in the fast-growing solar energy industry.
Successful candidates will participate in a 6-month paid internship, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role upon successful completion.
Position: Photovoltaic (PV) System Design Engineer
Selected candidates will be trained to design high-quality solar (PV) systems that comply with:
- US National Electrical Code (NEC)
- International Building Code (IBC)
By the end of the program, trainees will be able to design systems used in real-world installations across the United States and Canada.
Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (Licence) or higher in one of the following:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Civil Engineering
Recruitment Process
All candidates will go through a 3-step interview process:
- Problem-solving assessment
- AutoCAD test
- English proficiency test
Training Program
- Duration: 6 months (in-person training)
- Location: SilverBack Mall (Former Sonatube)

Requirements & Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of:
- CAD design
- Electrical systems

Note: Prior work experience is not required, but candidates are encouraged to refresh or learn AutoCAD skills before the interview.
