Ripple Effect is inviting applications from qualified and experienced fundraising professionals for the position of Programme and Institutional Funding Manager (PIFM) based in Kigali, Rwanda or Bujumbura, Burundi.
The successful candidate will join Ripple Effect’s global fundraising team and play a key role in securing institutional funding, developing donor partnerships, leading complex funding applications, supporting business development, and producing high-quality donor reports.
The position is particularly suited to an experienced fundraiser who can work closely with programme teams, Country Directors, institutional donors, philanthropists, private-sector leaders, and partners across Africa.

Job Overview
The Programme and Institutional Funding Manager (PIFM) will work as part of a global fundraising team comprising members based in the UK and Africa.
The primary responsibility of the position is to secure institutional income from governments, multilateral banks, agencies, and major foundations.
The role will also involve developing strong and mutually beneficial relationships with funding partners, leading funding applications, producing donor reports, and supporting Country Directors with business development planning.
The successful candidate will need strong fundraising, relationship management, proposal development, communication, analytical, and storytelling skills.
Key Responsibilities
Institutional Fundraising
The Programme and Institutional Funding Manager will:
- Secure income from institutional donors.
