Ecofleet Solutions Ltd is inviting applications from enthusiastic and qualified graduates for five (5) Garage Intern positions. This professional internship is designed for Mechanical Engineering graduates who want to gain practical experience in fleet maintenance while working with Kigali’s public transport system.
As a government-owned company, Ecofleet Solutions Ltd is responsible for improving public transport services in the City of Kigali through modern fleet management, transport planning, and operational excellence.
About the Internship
The Garage Internship provides graduates with an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical industry experience. Interns will work under the supervision of experienced Garage Supervisors and Foremen, gaining hands-on skills in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repair of public buses.
This internship is ideal for candidates who are passionate about automotive engineering and eager to build a career in fleet maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will support the garage team by:
- Assisting in diagnosing mechanical and technical faults in buses.
- Participating in preventive maintenance and scheduled vehicle servicing.
- Supporting repairs and replacement of damaged mechanical components.
- Inspecting engines, braking systems, suspension, tyres, electrical systems, and vehicle fluids.
- Recording maintenance activities accurately and maintaining workshop documentation.
- Keeping the workshop clean while following health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools, vehicle maintenance equipment, and workshop operations.
- Strong integrity, discipline, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
