BIRUNGA SACCO MUSANZE (BSM) is inviting qualified, competent, and self-motivated candidates to apply for the position of IT Officer Hardware and Software. The vacancy is available at the Head Office, and the successful candidate will support the SACCO’s ICT infrastructure by maintaining hardware, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems across headquarters, branches, and outlets.
BIRUNGA SACCO MUSANZE is a District Savings and Credit Cooperative (D-SACCO) established following the consolidation of 15 Umurenge SACCOs operating in Musanze District under the Government of Rwanda’s SACCO consolidation framework.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide first-line IT support for computers and related hardware at the head office, branches, and outlets.
- Respond promptly to IT service requests and technical issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other hardware devices.
- Coordinate IT hardware procurement and review vendor contracts.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and IT systems.
- Protect the confidentiality of organizational information.
- Ensure proper management of assigned ICT equipment.
- Comply with organizational policies and operational procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Operations or authorized supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT) or Management Information Systems (MIS).
- At least one (1) year of working experience in IT or networking within a Bank or Microfinance Institution (MFI).
- Strong skills in computer hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Positive attitude and commitment to work.
- Willingness to travel to SACCO branches and outlets when required.
