Job Purpose
The Tour Consultant will be responsible for designing, selling, and coordinating travel and tour packages tailored to client needs. The role involves managing client consultations, preparing itineraries, coordinating bookings, and ensuring high-quality travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Tour Planning & Product Development
- Design customized tour itineraries and travel packages
- Develop travel programs for leisure, corporate, and group clients
- Align tour products with client needs and company offerings
Client Consultation & Advisory
- Provide accurate travel information including destinations, accommodation, and transport
- Advise clients on suitable travel options based on budget and preferences
- Respond to client inquiries via email, phone, and other channels
Quotations & Booking Management
- Prepare detailed travel quotations and proposals
- Ensure accurate pricing aligned with company policies
- Handle bookings for accommodation, transport, guides, and permits
- Confirm reservations within required timelines
Coordination & Operations Support
- Liaise with hotels, transport providers, and tour partners
- Support smooth execution of travel itineraries
- Resolve operational issues before and during tours
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Collect and analyze client feedback for service improvement
- Promote tour packages and support sales initiatives
- Assist in marketing and business development activities
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, itineraries, and client communications
- Ensure proper documentation of all tour activities
- Comply with company policies and tourism regulations
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in tourism, travel operations, or customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Strong knowledge of tourism destinations and travel systems
- Customer-focused with strong sales orientation
