Umurava is recruiting a Finance & Performance Manager on behalf of its partner, Iriba Water Group, a fast-growing organization based in Kigali. This is a full-time, on-site role suited for a results-driven professional who thrives in structured, performance-oriented environments.
This position goes beyond traditional accounting by combining financial management, business analysis, and performance monitoring to ensure strong financial visibility, cost discipline, and measurable organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
- Prepare reliable financial statements and reports
- Produce monthly Profit & Loss statements, cash flow reports, and financial summaries
- Ensure full tax compliance and timely statutory filings
- Oversee payroll processing and expense tracking
2. Financial Review & Visibility
- Conduct a comprehensive review of financial records
- Provide clear visibility on revenue, expenses, and cash position
- Enable real-time financial insights for leadership
3. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead company-wide budgeting processes
- Validate departmental budgets
- Align financial planning with business growth objectives
4. Financial Discipline & Cost Control
- Enforce responsible use of company funds
- Identify and eliminate revenue leakages and unnecessary expenses
- Ensure all costs contribute to value creation
5. Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor and report on performance across departments
- Establish measurable performance metrics and tracking systems
6. Unit Economics & Business Analysis
- Define and monitor unit economics across business lines
- Conduct ROI analysis by department
- Track revenue versus cost across operations
7. Inventory & Procurement Oversight
- Establish systems for inventory tracking and procurement approvals
- Monitor usage and prevent stock losses or untracked expenditures
8. Policy Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure adherence to financial procedures and procurement policies
- Maintain strong internal controls and governance systems
9. Strategic Financial Support
- Provide actionable financial insights to the CEO
- Support decision-making and growth strategies
- Contribute to improving operational efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, payroll, or business administration
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
- Understanding of unit economics, budgeting, and cost control
- Familiarity with tax compliance and statutory reporting in Rwanda is an added advantage
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High level of organization, discipline, and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to change

Success in this role will be measured by:
- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Clarity of financial visibility (revenue, costs, cash position)
- Budget adherence
- Reduction of cost inefficiencies and revenue leakages
- Improved performance tracking across departments
- Clear understanding of unit economics and profitability
