The Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) program offers transformative educational and training opportunities in Canada for individuals from 26 eligible countries:
26 eligible countries funded by Global Affairs Canada
Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire), Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo and Tunisia
This ambitious eight-year initiative (2022–2030) supports vocational, technical, and higher education tailored to the priorities of partner countries contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Key Highlights:

Approximately 600 scholarships will be awarded.

At least 51% of recipients will be women, promoting gender equality.

Scholarships include both vocational and academic training programs in Canada.

Focus on inclusive and equitable access to education.

Scholars return equipped to become change-makers in their home communities.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be part of a project partnership between a Canadian higher education institution and an institution in one of the 26 eligible countries. Individuals cannot apply directly to the BCDI 2030 program.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates must apply through their home institution if it is part of an approved BCDI 2030 project. The Canadian and partner institutions will launch scholarship calls and select recipients based on program-specific criteria.
