Job Description
WGU is looking for a creative and experienced Marketing Manager to oversee marketing efforts in Kigali. This remote role involves developing and executing strategies to strengthen WGU’s brand, boost enrollment, and engage prospective and current students.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning

Design and execute marketing strategies to support enrollment and awareness goals

Perform market and competitor analysis

Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate campaign success
Campaign Management

Manage multi-channel campaigns (digital, email, social media, traditional)

Align campaigns with organizational goals and events

Oversee budget allocation for maximum ROI
Team Leadership

Lead a marketing team, fostering innovation and teamwork

Delegate responsibilities and ensure timely project delivery
Brand Development

Uphold and evolve the WGU brand across all platforms

Drive engagement with original content strategies

Establish strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility
Analytics & Reporting

Evaluate campaign data and provide actionable insights

Use analytics tools to assess performance and trends

Present findings to guide future strategies
Candidate Profile
Education
-
Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Business Admin, or related field (Master’s preferred)
-
Certifications in digital marketing (e.g., Google Ads, HubSpot, Social Media Marketing) are a plus
Experience
-
Minimum 2 years in marketing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
-
Proven success in executing multi-channel campaigns
-
Experience in education marketing is a bonus
