COOPEC IKIRENGA Announces Teller Recruitment – 3 Positions Available

COOPEC IKIRENGA is inviting qualified and motivated Rwandan candidates to apply for three (3) Teller positions. This recruitment offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in the financial services sector with one of Rwanda’s growing financial cooperatives.

Established in May 2024 through the merger of five SACCOs—COOPEC ITI, COOPEC CODEMARU, CSTCR SACCO, CSPKI, and TRASO—COOPEC IKIRENGA operates under the supervision of the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR). Its headquarters are located in Base Sector, Rulindo District, while the former SACCOs continue to operate as branches.

Position Available

• Job Title: Teller
• Number of Positions: 3

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will work under the supervision of the Branch Operations Officer and will be responsible for:

• Processing customer cash deposits and withdrawals.
• Initiating account transfers, including inter-branch transfers.
• Processing cheque transactions.
• Assisting with daily cash balancing and branch closing activities.
• Opening, operating, and closing cash tills.
• Promoting and cross-selling financial products and services.
• Performing other duties assigned by branch management.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• At least an A2 Certificate in Accounting.

Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields have an added advantage:

• Business Management
• Finance
• Accounting
• Business Administration
• Economics
• Related disciplines

Skills Required

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Core Banking Systems (CBS).
• Strong numerical and mathematical skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to handle financial transactions responsibly.

General Requirements

Candidates must:

• Be a Rwandan citizen.
• Be 30 years old or younger.
• Have no criminal conviction resulting in imprisonment of six months or more.
• Not have been dismissed from a previous institution unless legally reinstated.
• Not have been involved in the bankruptcy of a financial institution.
