Job Overview
Marriott International is seeking a skilled Electrician to join the team at Kigali Marriott Hotel.
The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment while ensuring safety standards and operational efficiency within a high-end hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions
- Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components
- Use tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes for testing
- Perform preventive maintenance on generators, lighting, and appliances
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
Safety and Service Responsibilities
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies
- Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues
- Handle flammable materials properly
- Provide courteous and professional service to hotel guests
- Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
- Support colleagues and maintain positive working relationships
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and carry objects up to 10 pounds
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to perform tasks requiring movement and precision
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance procedures
