Incuti Foods is inviting applications from qualified and experienced finance professionals for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This senior management opportunity is suitable for finance professionals with at least five years of progressive senior finance experience, professional accounting qualifications and a strong background in financial planning, fundraising, donor accounting, financial reporting and organizational management.
Candidates with experience in food manufacturing, fast-casual chain restaurants or FMCG businesses are particularly encouraged to apply.
About the Position
The Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function of Incuti Foods and provide strategic financial leadership to support the company’s growth, sustainability and operational performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic financial planning, cash flow management, fundraising, partnership development, donor accounting, financial reporting, cost management and regulatory compliance.
The role requires a professional who can strengthen financial governance, improve business performance, manage financial risks and support effective decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer will perform the following duties:
1. Financial Leadership and Strategic Planning
- Lead the finance function of the organization.
- Develop and oversee strategic financial planning.
- Support financial decision-making and organizational growth.
2. Cash Flow and Treasury Management
- Oversee cash flow management and treasury operations.
- Strengthen financial planning and liquidity management.
3. Fundraising and Partnership Development
- Lead fundraising activities and support partnership development.
- Build strategic relationships that contribute to organizational growth and financial sustainability.
4. Donor Accounting and Grant Management
- Oversee donor accounting processes.
- Manage grant-related financial activities and reporting requirements.
5. Financial Reporting and Governance
- Ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Strengthen financial governance and accountability.
6. Cost, Margin and Performance Management
- Monitor operational costs and profit margins.
- Support financial performance management and business efficiency.
7. Internal Controls and Risk Management
- Establish and strengthen internal control systems.
- Identify and manage financial and operational risks.
8. Tax Compliance and People Leadership
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial team leadership and support staff development.
Required Qualifications and Education
Applicants should meet the following academic and professional requirements:
Academic Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- A professional accounting qualification is required, such as CPA (Rwanda/ICPAR or equivalent qualifications from Kenya or Uganda), ACCA or CIMA.
- A Master’s degree, such as an MBA or equivalent qualification, is highly preferred.
Required Professional Experience
Candidates must have at least five years of progressive senior finance experience.
The following experience and competencies are required or preferred:
- At least five years of progressive senior finance experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in fundraising.
- Demonstrated experience in partnership development.
- Demonstrated experience in donor accounting.
- Experience in food manufacturing, fast-casual chain restaurants or FMCG is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in Rwanda, with working knowledge of local tax and statutory requirements, is strongly preferred.
- Experience implementing or optimizing Odoo ERP systems and inventory costing is desirable.
