Accountant Job at Mayange Rice Company – 3 Oct 2026

Mayange Rice Company Ltd (MRC) is recruiting an Accountant to work at its headquarters in Mayange Sector, Bugesera District, Rwanda. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee the company’s accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance and internal financial controls.

The position offers an indefinite employment contract. Applications must be submitted by 3 October 2026 at 5:00 PM (CAT).

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A CPA or ACCA qualification, including demonstrated progress toward certification, is preferred.

Candidates should also demonstrate practical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, local tax laws and regulatory requirements. Experience coordinating audits, implementing internal controls and supervising accounting staff is desirable.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, financial management systems and Microsoft Excel is expected. Applicants should have strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Previous experience in agribusiness, manufacturing or a similar industry is an added advantage.
