The Business Research Centre (BRC) CBC, established by the Private Sector Federation (PSF) Rwanda, is recruiting a Finance, Budget and Accounting Specialist to join its Administration & Finance unit in Kigali. The position is full-time and reports to the Head of Administration & Finance.
The successful candidate will support financial planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, audits and financial management of BRC programmes and projects.

The Business Research Centre (BRC) CBC is an applied research and strategic analysis institution established by PSF Rwanda. It focuses on business intelligence, market insights, evidence generation and policy analysis to support private-sector competitiveness and informed decision-making.

About the Position
The Finance, Budget and Accounting Specialist will help ensure that BRC’s financial resources are properly planned, utilized, recorded, monitored and reported.
The role covers:
- Financial planning
- Budget preparation and monitoring
- Accounting
- Financial reporting
- Financial analysis and forecasting
- Internal controls
- Compliance
- Project and donor financial management
- Audit preparation and follow-up
The Specialist will also provide financial information to support management decision-making and implementation of BRC’s strategic plans.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with specialization in Accounting/Finance, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
Professional Qualification
Possession of, or demonstrated progress toward, a professional accounting qualification such as:
- CPA
- ACCA
- Equivalent professional accounting qualification
is a strong advantage.
Professional Experience
Applicants should have at least five years of relevant professional experience in:
- Accounting
- Budgeting
- Financial management
Experience in a research institution, private-sector organization, development programme, NGO, project-based organization or similar institution is preferred.
Experience managing donor-funded or externally funded projects is an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate practical knowledge of:
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Accounting and financial reporting
- Financial analysis and forecasting
- Internal controls and risk management
- Project and donor financial management
- Audit preparation and follow-up
- Cash-flow and treasury management
- Applicable accounting and financial-management standards
The candidate should also be proficient in accounting software such as SAGE and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, as well as digital financial-management and reporting systems.

The Finance, Budget & Accounting Specialist will report to the Head of Administration & Finance and work with:

- Research & Data Department
- Executive Director’s Office

- Other BRC/PSF structures
